    What is Write For Cash?

Write For Cash is a division of PageWise, Inc., which compiles websites on a wide variety of subjects. At Write For Cash, we collect the articles that you submit. PageWise publishes these articles on the web, and then sells advertising on those pages.

How do I register to write for Write For Cash?

To register yourself as a writer all you need to do is provide us with some basic information about yourself on our registration page. This information will be used internally and is necessary for us to pay you. You will also be asked to read and agree to our legal guidelines. Once you've registered, you'll be able to log in and start picking articles to write.

Why do you need my social security number / W9 tax form?

We understand your concern about the security of your Social Security number; only our accountant uses the Social Security numbers. She keeps track of how much we pay each individual, so that we follow the appropriate IRS rules. The only reason we collect the address information is for payment reasons. We do require this information before we can pay you, as per IRS rules.

What topics can I write about? Are certain topics more likely to be accepted than others?

We have thousands of articles that need to be written, and every week we add hundreds more. Some categories (such as How To and Home & Garden) have more articles than others, but you should still be able to easily find something that interests you. As long as the article is well written and contains useful information, we will accept submissions from the list of suggested article topics.

Can I submit stuff I've already written?

Yes, but only if it hasn't been submitted elsewhere. Your writing must be free of any copyrights. After we purchase your article, remember that PageWise, Inc. will own the copyright. Check the legal notice for more information.

How will I know whether or not you've accepted my article?

We'll send you an e-mail to let you know. Or, after you log-in, you can click on "Submit & Edit Articles" to view their status. Alternatively, we might send your article back to you for revision if it's too short, has grammatical or spelling errors, or if it's off-topic.

What if I'm not a great writer?

We are not looking for great literature (although we wouldn't complain); we are looking for information, good grammar and correct spelling in these articles.

Can I include pictures or graphics with my article?

No. PageWise is only interested in publishing text articles. Also, Write For Cash is not equipped to deal with copyright issues that would inevitably occur with the inclusion of images in our articles.

Will I get a by-line with my work?

Yes, all writers get an option to include their byline with their articles.

What happens to my article once it has been submitted and approved?

After your finished copy has been accepted, it belongs to PageWise, Inc. We will place various advertisements and offers on the article and publish it on the Internet. You will not be able to revise or update the article any further once it has been accepted. For an overview of the publication rights to material submitted to Write For Cash, please see the legal notice. You will be required to agree to these guidelines before submitting articles.

What is the maximum number of articles that I can write?

There is no monthly cap on how many articles we will accept from an individual writer.

How much do you pay per article?

You will receive between $10 and $15 for each article (depending on the quality) that is accepted for publication by PageWise. Better articles, and hence a higher payout, are those that are filled with lots of information on that particular topic. A short article with vague information will get, at best, $10.

How do I get paid for my work?

Write For Cash processes your payments at the beginning of each month. You will receive an email notifying you that your Paypal account has been credited. From there, you can choose whether to have your money deposited directly into your account, or have a check mailed to you. It is very important that you use the same email address for both Write For Cash and PayPal. It costs you nothing to register with PayPal. You can do so by clicking here.

What does this "time out" error message mean?

Sometimes a server will "time out" when you are on one page for a long time. To avoid the risk of losing your work, it is best to write your article in a word document, then cut and paste it into our form. Save often!

How long does it take to review the articles?

Your article will be reviewed in 2 weeks or less from the date you submit it. If we send your article back for revision, you have another 2 weeks to turn it back in.

Why haven't I received my payment yet?

Make sure you are properly registered with PayPal. You can reach them at (877) 672-9725. You must register the same email address with both PayPal and Write For Cash. Also, you must submit a W-9 form before we can pay you.

Write For Cash pays reliably at the beginning of every month, almost always on the 1 st. This does not guarantee payment on a specific date, especially if the first of the month falls on a weekend. Our payment system is NOT automated, so there is no reason for frantic emails or worried messages if you haven't received your payment at the exact moment you expected it to arrive in your inbox. Each and every person who has money pending will be paid accordingly.

Where can I read my published article?

It takes us about one to three months to get each article published and registered with the search engines. To find your article do a search on Google for your name in quotes, or enter a unique phrase from your article in quotation marks.
